Tarkarli has been bestowed with a long coastline which is ideal for those long romantic and nostalgia filled walks.

The feeling of soft sand under your nimble toes and the presence of clear water and sky along with the cleanest of breathing air provides a heady feeling. Not to forget that the beach is also the trusted zone for the female turtles. It is not uncommon to find a turtle lazing on the beach or hatching and protecting its eggs. The beach has silk smooth sand along the stretch. Again the water is so pure that the seabed is visible even if you venture out at the sea.

If you have ever dreamt of owning a huge and beautiful beach to yourselves then Kolamb beach would swell your chest with pride for the crowd on this mesmerizing beach is so thin that it’s not possible to wonder if you own and have the beach all for yourselves. Hardly a soul will be visible on the beach; unfortunately neither would you find any food or drink vendor in the vicinity. Left all to yourselves if you have your rations packed and raring to move then Kolamb is the place for you. Kolamb beach ends up in a creek from one side called the Kolamb creek.

The name Sindhudurg in Marathi means a Fort build on Ocean or Ocean Fort. Constructed within a span of 3 years from 1664-1667 by King Shivaji by deploying 100 Portuguese architects, specially invited from Goa and over 3000 strong workforce the fort stands tall on the "Kurte" island. It is believed that 4000 mounds of iron was casted for creating the base and lay the foundation stone for the fort. Hiroji Indulkar, a noted architect of that era supervised the construction. The fort is spread over 50 acres of land and boasts of a 9.2 mtr high and 3 mtr rampart. The rampart is 4 Km long and is studded with 42 bastions. The Fort houses the temples of Hanuman, Jarimari and Goddess 'Bhavani’.

This island is not formed due to Tsunami waves, But due to this imaginary name it is a popular tourist destination for water sports where one can enjoy rides like Jet-Ski, Banana boat ride, Bumper boat, Kayaks etc. Best time to visit Tsunami island for water sports is during high tide when the small island is partially submerged under the water (till knee length).

Bhogave Beach is in the vicinity of Kille Nivati. These two form a complete package for history lovers as well as nature hungry tourists, alike. Bhogave beach is endowed with foamy waves and silver sand. This beach will surely destress you!

Village Bhogave has another attraction of unification of sea and river named Karli. This beach came in lime light in 1988–89 and after that it has emerged as the hotest tourist destination. This beach enjoys yet another magnetic characteristic, that is being a habitation of dolphins. Charming tricks of dolphins are really eye–candy.
